The place
Where water, wilderness and village life meet.
Sorabora Wewa is an ancient reservoir near Mahiyanganaya, in Sri Lanka's Uva Province. Water from the tank still supports paddy fields and farming in the surrounding villages, and the shoreline, scrub forest and hills around it are home to birdlife and wild elephants.
Everything we do here is shaped by that landscape and by the people who live alongside it.
